Our client is a one of the largest rail companies in the UK providing systems for multiple rail areas.
Due to a large increase in workload they are currently looking for an Operations Assistant to assist their Operations Manager and work within their operations/logistics department.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding multi-national group and to progress working closely with their Operations Manager
The role is heavily customer focussed and will involve liaising with clients on order and deliveries schedules, assisting in ensuring the timely throughput of goods in the workshop and delivery of finished products.
The main duties will include the following:-
- Checking stock levels
- Assisting in carrying out assessments on client equipment in the workshop.
- Dealing with client enquiries and advising clients on the progress of their products through the works
- Completing relevant paperwork associated with production
- Compiling and updating Excel spreadsheets
Although this is an entry level role the successful applicant will ideally have experience of working in engineering or operations/logistics. It is essential that they have the ability to communicate with people at all levels from clients to hauliers.
