Job Description
This role is based within the rail industry and involves working on bids for new contracts, dealing with customers to present new systems designs and evaluating technical problems with existing and new systems , reading car builder specifications, breaking down design into components, evaluating degigns vs specifications, and performing gap analysis. Other duties include providing support during the installation of systems to ensure proper installation / adjustment and sign off when required, providing technical support during commissioning / warranty work, trouble sshooting and resolution, organising the logistics of testing and the implementations of modifications, and monitoring failures, failure rates, and reliability trends. Applicants must have at least 10 years experience in a similar role, at least 5 of which must have been within the UK rail industry, and be qualified to degree level in mechanical or electrical engineering. In addtion to this, candidates must have strong technical abilities to be able to understand / propose system designs, have strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills. The role is mainly based in London with some support work in Derby, and may involve travel across UK and Europe. Our Ref: DMMMVASE01
